Well &$*(.....new camera?

Well, I registered here and even started my own blog to keep up with some upcoming projects that I have been thinking about. I went to take some pictures of a couple builds I am doing for clients and wouldn't you know it my camera crapped out. It can't read the memory card!

So now begins the search for a new camera. I really would like to go DSLR but I just can't justify or afford it for right now. I have been searching around newegg for a new one and came across THIS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830120426). What do you think? Good for taking product pics and whatever else I decide.

Before you spend $$$ on a new camera - might seem like a daft question, but you have tried another card in the camera or the same card in another device??? Just in case it's the card that's the problem

I agree with SoC - I'd try that card in something else and a different (preferably new) card in that camera just to be sure. I had an SD card crap out on me randomly one day - thankfully I had nothing on it anyways

Yea, that was the first thing I did. The laptop would read the card so I am assuming that it is the camera. I don't have another card that is compatible (as the camera does not support SDHC) so I can't try one of my larger ones.

I have been wanting a new camera anyways and this just gives me more reason to get one now.
