What it says... i know steam is amazing with downloads and such, wheras the ea store is $15 instead of $20. what would you guys do?

I bought mine from the EA store. It installed just fine with the Download option. It caches all the install files on your HDD so you can copy them off and reinstall when ever you want, BUT that also means that if you don't delete them, it eats about 5.8GB of disk space. The one thing that I miss out on with out Steam is going to my buddy list and being able to join a game from there. BFBC2 does have its own Friends List so I am able to find them that way. I guess it depends on what 5 bucks is worth to you.

I prefer to keep everything on Steam.

It all depends if the 5 bucks is worth the steam convenience. I have downloaded some things from the EA Store and it is just as good as steam when it comes to downloading. However I prefer to keep most things Steam just because it makes it a simple one stop when I want to play games.
+1 for Steam just because it keeps everything in one spot.

Agree with Steam suggestion. I use it for all my games as well. I like the in-game invite option for friends (although if all your friends have xfire I suppose that's a non-issue).
