yea I've done both on my truck already lol :D
they're not too bad, just make sure you use some strong stuff to hold the window up. I used small plastic wedges and shoved them between the window and frame at the bottom, and it kept them in place

Actually I have a strap around the window and top of the door frame holding the window up right now, seeing as how the existing regulator is broke.
This is for the passenger side. The driver side is dead, too, but at least it's not actually broke, so it's going to wait a bit yet.
Gonna work on it tomoorrow. Hurray for me. :rolleyes:

just weld your doors shut and put in spring loaded lexan windows and do it dukes of hazard style.. if it werent that it was my dd my jetta would be stripped to a bare minimum like everything but the milk crate for the drivers seat lol.

Yeah... But do you have any idea how hard it would be to get a carseat in and out that way?

Recaro makes some that you could weld to your frame reinforcement cage.
