Dude, that's awesome! Got any plans for it? I want to make one.

lol. sure. take some scrap plexi, a heat gun, a dremel, and a blow torch :D.

cut the plexi to whatever width you want, and about 2.25 ipods in length (the short side) bend the plexi at 1 ipod in length to make the first bend (the support on the back) then the 2nd piece gets turned up to cradle the ipod. use a cutting disk to make the holding flange shorter, and cut the curves out of the back of the plexi. i tried cutting the curves first, and then bending, but it resulted in the plexi breaking. all shaping of the front bar, and the rear bar was done with a sanding drum on a dremel on a med to low rpm setting. finally, print out an apple logo, tape it behind where you want it, etch it (the edges and the middle) flame polish it, then re etch the edges to make it more defined. viola. a 30 min project.

Hmm.. version 1.0 came out ok, but I need to rework it. I made the first bend a little short.

I'll assume it's like anything else: practice, practice, practice.

also, i forgot to mention this, but be sure to use the heat gun, not the torch for bending.

Yep. I used the gun on low. Heated it perfectly.

Version 2 is a little better. I keep making the back support too short. Gonna try to straighten that section and fix it.

I got the back part fixed. You can see where I tried to straighten it. Came out pretty good overall though. I'm using an iPhone 3G.
