Black Ops (POS)

Suddenly this game crashes steam every time I try to start it... this game has been nothing but bugs since it was released... starting to really get under my skin.

I must say that I have had zero problems with it.

I have not played in a week or so, maybe a new patch screwed it up?

I play it regularly, no problems from me. You install it from Steam or stand-alone?

I have had not many issues with black ops, occasional server timeout and crash the game but otherwise good. I am talking multi though.

It's actually not just Black Ops, it's everything. I can't even sign on to steam now... it just stops responding. -.-

Sounds like someone needs a fresh install of Steam.

Sometimes I need to do a restart so that Steam notices it needs to do an update that's when I usually run into Steam having a problem.

I will never again buy a game that makes me use Steam. The hell with Steam

I actually quite enjoy Steam, good deals, can digitally download and be able to download when I want (EA is a good example of doing it wrong) and I can join other peoples games quite easily.

I uninstalled steam and everything related, wiped out the remains in the registry, reinstalled and it was still doing the same thing. I decided it was about that time to reformat anyways so rather than getting frustrated over hours of tinkering, I popped in dban and went to sleep. I've been up and running smoothly for a couple of days now.
