It's so damn slow. After the desktop comes up, it takes a few minutes just to open an internet window. It could be somewhat IE's fault, but not entirely (I HATE Firefox). I'm assuming it's mostly because of my 750GB 5400rpm hard drive. I've decided to get rid of my big drive and make it into an external to make room for my new SSD!!

Drats! I should have got that one. Well, I suppose is it $100 more. Nice grab though! Let us know if there's an actual noticeable difference.

Once you go SSD you never go back. And you'll start buying more of em!

Its still going to take a long ass time for IE to load. IE is the worst browser available. Hell I hate Mac and still like safari better than IE.

Why do you hate FF?

Edit: I also think I am the only person to take the SSD back out after trying it out. Maybe when 500gb SSD's are cheap I will go back. My C Drive just can not fit on the smaller drives.

yea, same here. I'll get an SSD when the get big and cheap. I had my os one one drive and everything else on another, but found it was more of a PITA than it was worth

lol, i already had all my files on an second drive, with my mechanical 320 i had about 50GB used. with the ssd the 320 is used for steam and the OS resides in its rightful solid place... Side note, @TGS, how do you feel about chrome?

My SU7300 doesn't have all the issues TGS' has, but we all knew that already. Then again I've got a 7200rpm drive. Hopefully the SSD helps, as the processor isn't the cause for slow loads.

I've only used Chrome a few times and I actually I do like it. I also really love having the favorites bar in IE. If I can move the fav bar to chrome, I'd jump ship quickly.

I'm only using about 60GB on my drive anyway so this slow and huge one I have just isn't worth it. I'll be getting an enclosure for it soon enough.

I bought a Agility 2 120 w/ the Sandforce controller a couple months ago from Newegg when they had them on a shell shocker. It was just an impulse buy but I am so happy that I pulled the trigger. I don't think anything I have done has made that big an improvement. In fact I find myself working on my dual core desktop with the ssd more than my quad core laptop.

Load times on programs such as photoshop is night and day. However games really don't load any faster on the SSD, but I wasn't expecting them to.
