I figured I'd get a thread going. Why not share our favorite moments of 2010? Maybe you have one, maybe you have ten of them, why not...
My absolute favorite moment... getting married. After a divorce, a lot of horrific life lessons learned and not the best time of my life... I learned TO have the time of my life, remarried and am happy as can be.

Getting my 914. After a long search and hunting for one of what I wanted... i found one...

My first car show with my 914. (thought i was going to be the only porsche there... then a 356 and a 930 showed up! and then a BMW M1 showed up! And then a Lotus Exige....)

StarCraft 2. I know, it sounds nerdy but I waited for over 10 years for this!

Snow storms... most people hate them, I LOVE THEM! Love driving in them, love playing in them.

new year is looking to be just as bad.. sorry for killing your thread looks like you got some real good times ahead of you.
Sorry about your bad year(s) Snowman. :( Hopefully it'll improve.
My high points in 2010:
Motorcycle ride up through PA and NY to a family camping trip in the Adirondacks.
Buying a house. :D

Stuff changing at work so now I'm actually working on a real project (instead of sitting around on my hands collecting overhead). :D

I did actually think about doing that (the firing range). My lot is big enough, but unfortunately there's a few problems.. *zooms out*

There is a private range nearby though, I'm thinking of joining.

hahahahahahahahaha
this is even funny enough to justify comic sans
I am planning on setting up an archery range though. :D It's a bit easier to build a suitably large/sturdy backstop for that than for a firing range. ..and they're a lot quieter..

Any time you're in central MD. :D
..that reminds me, I need to get mine adjusted...it has three draw length settings and I needed the smallest one when I got it...now I'm pretty sure I need the largest..yes, it's been a while since I used it. It's been a while since I had a place to use it.

Better be careful with that open invitation, if I go to waterfest it may just take me right down your road hahaha. Ok it would be somewhat of a detour but still be careful what you offer hahahhahaha
Haha, you're welcome any time. :D

That would require time and space, two things I am very limited on. I would love to do it this go around but I am probably going to have to stick to paying for it this go around. I still need to source wooden arrows for my recurves, it is odd that I can no longer find them anywhere.

in the case of space at least, the jig fits in a pocket.
No way in hell would I use wooden arrows under any circumstances! Look for a place that does longbow stuff if you wanna find them.

The wood is for my recurves I have always used them.. I meant space constraints in which to do the fletching with a puppy and two kids running around and super glue in the mix just sounds like a bad thing waiting to happen.
Yeah, with recurves you can get away with wood. ...they would just explode on a decent compound though. :P I remember fletching my own arrows when I was a kid...in fact I still have some of them. It's harder without a jig, but by no means impossible. ;)
