my video card is doing this at all stock clocks, overdrive disabled. Do i just have a bad card??? Latest drivers.

much appreciated.... although i just realized i submitted a ticket on monday too... gigabyte customer service fail? maybe its just the holiday rush. lol.... i can live without crysis and dirt 2, but if nfs hot pursuit 3 or bfbc2 start crashing my wrath will know no bounds!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... *sigh* thats been my luck tho... i order 1 thing the day it comes out and it bites me in the bum... time to find a buddy with xfire or sli. :D

I've been debating getting another 6870 and xfire them, but with the single one playing it maxed there's no need for a second

x88x, should be fine with the gtx 260. I used to run it on my old rig and I am pretty sure it had a 7950gt and a P4. Granted it wasn't maxed out but played good at low settings.

Heheh, yeah, it's not the 260 I'm worried about. :P ..my MBB is blown and the next best working system I have is the FX-55...which I seem to remember having trouble with the sound...though that was with an 8600GTS... Hmm, I might actually get that working today and see.
