Actually that is a pretty cool idea. I'm building a built-in desk in my office soon along similar lines to the 'hanging'...not sure if I care enough to try and do away with all the wires. :P

When building your desk, just incorporate wire management into the legs and supports. Other ideas include built in USB wiring, network wiring and power. Really easy to do the basics.

No legs getting in the way.

IDK, I haven't really planned it out yet...cable management may be included.
