edit; they had a video up on the website last night when i posted this, but apprently someone got in trouble so they took it down. I will describe what i seen in the video.

The msi big bang conquer is the new fuzion board coming out from msi.

am3+
4 pci express slots.
6 or 8 sata 6 gps ports.
the color scheme is black silver and blue.
the am3 socket is midnight black.
sata 3.0
power/reset switches.
for the first time a oc genie button.

the board its self was a beauty to see. this is all very much true. i seen it with my own eyes.the board is due out in 3-5 months

You don't need to apologize for linking to other PC related websites. It's not like we're all at war here or something. In fact, I came from another forum similar to this one and a lot of people here I'll bet frequent other forums as well as websites too. ;)

And there is a small thing on your keyboard called the "shift key". There's two of them, actually. Just sayin'. :D

Gordon gets his wires crossed by saying that AM3+ may not support AM3 procs. It's more likely that AM3+ will support AM3 procs, but you can't run the newer AM3+ in your existing AM3 motherboard.

I think my brain just imploded trying to understand this piece. Maybe you should be sorry for linking to this article! lol

No but really, I've read it like fifteen times and I still don't understand what's trying to be said here. So the AM3+ socket may not support AM3 processors, but yes actually they might? And the AM3+ socket won't support AM3+ processors unless they're older ones? Why is there a difference between older AM3+ processors and newer AM3+ processors? I mean, at least so much so that there is compatibility issues? You'd think at that point they'd start calling the new processors AM4+ or something of that nature, and then say there may or may not be backwards compatibility with certain boards, but apparently not this one?

I am so freaking confused. lol

Edit: And what about the MSI Big Bang Conquer AM3+? Why is that in the title? I didn't read anything about that.

The guy said that the newer socket might not support the older processors when what he meant to say is that older sockets might not support the newer processor. This happens all the time with both Intel and AMD. Usually it has to do with the number of cores on the CPU but any major architecture change could cause it. One of my old 775 mobos that my 775 Pentium 4 used didn't support the 775 core 2 quads for example...even though the socket was physically the same.

Oh, and what's a 'shift key'? You mean we don't have to hit caps lock on and off each time we need a capital letter?

The board sounds sweet. Now I just need some hard info on the Bulldozer chips themselves...all Trace will tell me is that they're coming out this summer. :(

Meh, I gave up on that a while ago. It's the internet, I don't expect everyone to talk in complete sentences with proper grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation. ;)
