I recently got a new case and got a fan controller and was wondering about my temps. I have 3 fans plus the PSU plus a duct for the CPU fan. I have the front and side fan sucking in air, and the rear and top fan sucking it out plus the PSU sucking out as well. My temps read : HD: 83F CPU: 85F SYS: 83F
I was wondering if those seemed a bit high? All wires are managed and nice and neat as not to block airflow. Any input is appreciated!

Thanks
Brad

Those temps are totally normal! In fact, for an air cooled computer, that's pretty darned low!

thats realy good - you seem to of setup your cooling fairly well. you may have gotten confused with people reading temperatures in cellcius. for some reason (even in the US) people read any computer temperature in celcius. my main modded p3 desktop is about that temp. right now. what components do you have in it?

See, the reason he asks if they're high (if I'm right), is because it's set to Farenheit, not Celcius.

Well I can choose to look at it in either Celcius or Farenheit, I choose F because America is backwards and doesnt use Celcius :) Component wise I am running a Athlon 2.2GHz on a gigabyte motherboard. 1gig RAM, 80gig Seagate HD, and a Radeon Video card. Its not the best set up but for me its fine :) Here are a few pictures...

I love that the CD drive is stealthed already...You just push the silver button and the face flops down and the cd drive pops out.

Here you can see the front fascia, I lost the 3.5" cover :( plus you can see my mess of wires hanging out hidden on the side :)

Yeah man not bad temps...I have an Athlon XP 3000+ and runs around 50-52 degrees celcius while under load. I have 4 case fans trying to cool everything...But if i remember correctly...Barton cores run pretty hot.

my machine is air cooled, i have a 120 fan on back sucking air out, 80 fan on side blowing air directly onto chipset, 80fan in PSU sucking out, my PSU fan, and a P4 fan on the front, one of the UBAR efficent ones that has a hose to direct air flow, this one os sucking air into the case passing it over my HDD's.

Temps underload is:
System 65F
CPU 60F
HDD's all about 50F

Im really amazed at my temps condidering its all HSF and air cooled.

Your temps are great. For your case, this means you have fairly even airflow. If you wanted to do anything, you might consider a way to cool down your vid card more. Seems to warm up after being taxed with CS. Just a thought.

And for those of you who don't use SAE units...
