If you read that right, it's cardboard
it is a retrofuturistic computer, without being steampunk. the first images do not say much, first, a box of a case which will be the body of the project, the carton is not the best so that will suffer several reinforcements. My English is not good so you will see many pictures and few words.

Pretty cool mod either way! I love these sort of "arts and crafts" pieces. It's oddly much more interesting than using sheet metal or plexiglass.

Hey now, that's pretty darn awesome! You can open the case and tinker without unplugging things from the back of the motherboard. That's pretty sweet. Is the hinge made out of cardboard as well? I assume it is but there aren't any pics of it before you painted.

That is a super-ingenious idea due to the fact that, as d_stilgar said, it allows access to the motherboard without unplugging all the cables. That's worth at least a rep and hopefully well see such a simplistic solution to tinkering access more often! And all with primarily cardboard!
