I don't see why you don't just RMA it instead of technically committing return fraud and making the place you are buying it from eat the loss.

I hope it was just being sarcastic as members of our forum would be the last people to talk about doing this in my mind. Stop tainting my view.

Just RMA it. Logitech has an amazing RMA policy. In my experience it amounts to: "Give us the serial number..ok, we haven't sent a replacement for that serial number before and it's under warranty...ok, we'll send you a new one".

i'm in the same boat i think, though mine is the MX Revolution, the first one, and my issue is the mouse button will double click on a single click. i've changed and upgraded the software but it still happens.

i love this mouse so much just for the fact that i have volume control and mute at the side. front and back as well as show desktop on the top. and of course the free spin wheel. the problem is to get a new one i either pay $200 off ebay or get the MX keyboard and mouse combo for 160 brand new or 90 used. such a pain, i wish i bought 2 or 4 of these. i honestly can't stand the thought of another mouse unless it has all the features listed above.

and yes logitech RMA has been very good to me so far.

Sounds like the microswitch is going. IIRC they come with 5 year warranties (I have a couple); is yours still in effect?

nope, i tried twice, warranty is 2 or 3 years i think, and i'm over by a year.

I know, I'll sell you my Logitech G9 Laser and that will offset the cost of a new mouse for me that I want.
