i have bought 2 of these boards and both do the same thing.when loading windows they go to starting windows screen and quit there. sent back to seller and they checked and say boards are testing perfect in every way. i feel it is processor problem but they did not tell me what processor to use. only that all t2x00 processors. i have tried t2050 and t2060 and same with both. i am using pc2 6400 memory and 250 watt power supply. i have tried using hard drive with xp installed and it goes to first xp window and stops there. also when i do this the picture is very dark. any info is greatly appreciated. thanks chuck.

Welcome to TBCS.

Sounds like a driver issue to me. Have you tried doing a normal install instead of booting from a drive with the OS already installed? XP doesn't always play happy getting shoved onto hardware it's never seen before. As for the picture being dark, that sounds like more a problem with the monitor than the motherboard. Have you used it with a different computer?

BTW, please don't cross post the same thread in different sections. Anyone who'll help will likely see it wherever you post it and repeats just confuse the matter and clutter up the board. One of the mods will probably be along at some point and merge the two.

+1 on a driver issue.

You might try a live cd such as Ubuntu. Download it and put it on a flash drive/burn to cd and see if you still have a problem when trying out the live function.

I have one of these boards and I cant get it to boot with a T7300 or T3200 (2.0GHz, 800 and 667 FSB respectivly)

My next step is trying a T2080 that I know others have had working in the board.

"The Pentium T3200 and Core2Duo 7300 are socket P where you need socket M cpus.

Basically fully supported CPUs in the T7 line would be T7200,7400,7600"

The key is Socket M

My 2 moca-ars work perfectly. One has a T7200 and one a T2080. Windows 7 is fully supported and requires no additional drivers.

I think Intel made 4 or more pin (grid only) compatible sockets,

Socket P (Fits P & M and 478 chips)
Socket M (Fits P & M chips)
Socket 479 (mPGA479M) Fits All Chips
Socket 478 Fits only 478 Chips

Chips for each socket are not compatible with each other, the just fit in the wrong sockets. The exception is a few special Socket 479 boards that can take Socket M processors as well.

Oh no. Electrical maybe, but I know from experience you can Put a Socket P Chip in a Socket M board and have it fit but not work.

*edit* I looked at the pins and stuck it in. Did not look at the "Gold Triangle".
