Anyone else deliver a belch at the release of a sneeze? It actually hurt a little.

You think that hurts? Try farting while taking a piss.
Edit: Also, guzzling soda really quickly to give you a caffeine fueled boost to finish whatever you're doing and then belching. Oh. God. Why does it hurt so much? And why does everyone ask if I was crying? I'm not crying dammit, I just burped!
Edit 2: And another one, why do I always cough when I blow my nose and then feel like sneezing at the same time?
Edit 3: Yet another! When I take a doody, why does my bladder suddenly, simultaneously and seemingly almost involuntarily activate? That always freaks me out a little. lmao
Edit 4: This one deserves a post all on its own. If sleeping is when our bodies go into a sort of "hibernation mode" for humans, then why do "things" wake up while I sleep? I mean, I know I love sleep and all, but that just doesn't compute! Just what is it doing at night, exactly? Throwing a party and I'm not invited?

As for the last one, think of it as nightly maintenance. Things need extra blood flow to clean everything out and to heal any damages.

I remember the last time I had the flu, at some point I simultaneously sneezed, passed gas, and lost bladder control. The combination of physical pain and psychological humiliation was blunted, however, by the fact I was so sick & heavily medicated that I didn't really care.

The valve at the top of my stomach doesn't work properly (hiatus hernia), so things can happen like the other day, when i took in a big swig of beer, I belched, it all foamed up out of my stomach into my throat and then I inhaled it, stomach acid and all! Not pleasant.

True for the mind as well (at least according to the most recent theories I remember reading....which granted was probably about 5-6 years ago..). Supposedly, during REM sleep your mind is organizing, filing, etc everything that happened during the day. Think of it like a defrag for your brain. :P It makes sense if you think about it; explains why cramming doesn't work; why you remember things better if you sleep briefly between study and recall; why no matter how many chemicals you pump into your body, eventually your brain will take over and shut you down.... Also explains why people often feel disoriented when waking directly from REM sleep. According to that same theory, that's where dreams come from; bits of our consciousness picking up on the information processing and engaging various sensory and memory portions of the brain. ...come to think of it, that might be where that last incident comes from too Lothiar. ;)
Hiccuping and coughing at the same time.
REALLY unpleasant.
Nowhere near as bad as vomiting and diarrhea.

This sounds like it would go really bad, really fast....

What about full body hiccups? I actually hiccup so hard sometimes that my entire body will move. Weird?

Nah, I do it too. I do it for hours, as well.
