$450 for a door with lights in... It may well be a piece of 'supercomputer history' but once it's no longer attached to said supercomputer how can you ever prove that? I reckon any one of a number of people at this site could make an entirely convincing copy of that thing for a fraction of that price.

I have a bunch of SGI Origin 3000's a few 2000's and a couple of origin 2000 desksides and onyx2 desksides. I know they are in the process of parting some of those out and to be honest they are beasts. The desksides used to sell for ~80k (or more) and the last one we sold went for around $3000 fully loaded. I have kind of drifted away from those systems, but used to be a sysadmin at SGI so I worked with them daily (plus my VR lab had several graphics supercomputers to run my projectors and VR headmounts and tables.
