I got a new laptop

Only problem with it?
It does not hold a charge. :(

Toshiba's site said BIOS may be wrong, preventing charge.

Downloaded from site.
Loaded ISO onto disk.

Put it back in.
"Blank CD".

Tried taking BIOS into my flash drive, make it bootable.

"This is not a bootable drive; please reinsert and try again."

:banghead:

I can't do the auto-install; I'm on Ubuntu.

And I'm at a loss.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Well, I made some progress.

If I extract the ISO and use XP's built-in recorder (on another computer), I am able to see the files.

BUT it still will not boot the image file!

 SUCCESS!

The trick?
Use the program that comes with the download, let it run Roxio.

Good news: The Fn-Fx keys now work!
Great news: The media keys work.
Bad news: Battery is toast, after all.
