Quick and Easy money transfer?

Trying to send some gas money to a friend stuck in another portion of the state. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Do they have Paypal? That would be the easiest way. Otherwise, your options are a little more limited. Perhaps Western Union? Or a money order? That's rather old school, admittedly, but either one will work.

Do they have a bank account? If there is a branch local to you, then sometimes you can just deposit cash into their account.

For clarification, is this more like a "I'm broken down on the side of the road with no money for gas, help!" situation or a "I'm staying with friends and have access to a computer/transportation/etc but I don't have enough gas money to get home" situation?

I can empathize, I have been in many tight situations or had friends in some like this too and it is tempting to want to help. But they did get themselves into this and scrounging up a few bucks for gas money to their nearest bank account shouldn't be more than any capable young adult should be able to handle. If there is no money in their own bank account when they get there, then they just did a very stupid thing by traveling and not making sure they had the resources. But all is not bad, this experience is a great learning opportunity. To be honest, all the ways I can think of to get them cash are either expensive, or risky.
