i just got a 5850 to cross fire with my 5830, the cards are very very very very close together. i did some stress testing with fur mark. both cards got to 83c and kept going so i shut it off. my cooling method right now is a 120 sitting on them to blow cool air down in between them so the 5850 can have cool air. now i want a after market cooler for the 5850 but every thing i find is to big. so here is a picture. also any suggestions would be great.

p.s almost for got, i cant have the fans running high because overdrive cant be on and msi oc tool cant be used because it knocks the ati drivers off. that big fan is to keep the back of the card cool and the north bridge cool.

or at least pull the coolers off and put some fresh thermal paste on there, it'll help :D

Heheh, I know the feeling. Will makes a good point though; replacing the thermal paste should drop the temps a good 3-5C or so; might make the difference between BSOD and stable.

weird i thought i said i did that in the last post lol. must have been thinking about it and not typed it. yeah i did do it. i have no idea where the max is on either card. at idle the 5850 sits at 54C and the 5830 sits at 45c so a nice 10 degrees there.
