That board is unbelievably large. I'm kind of scared to see how big it will be when fully built up.

What CPU socket does that board use, and what CPU's are you putting in it?

Ooooh...that's the quad Socket F board, right? I was sorry to hear about you missing out on the dual dodecacores, but quad quad-cores are not a bad consolation prize. With just two processors, it already looks sweet.

Excuse my ignorance, but what would be a personal reason for owning a server board like that?

Rendering/flow modeling software.

Also, I'm actually more comfortable with server hardware.

Interesting to see that you're continuing the LOTR theme

One mod to rule them all and in the benchmarks bind them

You->winning

It's not even about winning benches, though this is tied to a mod (in WIP now) it's about the right knife for the job-which is increasingly multithreaded on CPU. It would get slapped about on 3DMark, but Cinebench, however...

It's about using the PC, not waggling it about as e-peen. If I get to do it WHILE using it, OK.

And nice to see you, Mach. When you get a chance, can you PM me the contact info you have for BP?
