i really want to get a tablet to replace my laptop, as the only thing it is used for is internet browsing. the desktop gets all the attention these days... besides the ipad, are there any good reasonably priced 7-10 inch tablets? reasonable == $350 or less. as i can get a refurb ipad for that price, i just want android. it has to have good battery life, wifi, and either ship with 2.2 or be able to be rooted to run something else. Possibly the nook? other than that im at a loss. thanks guys! oh, i would rather have a capacitive touch screen.

You could check out the Notion Ink Adam. It's actually priced cheaper than the ipad, and I believe it is a custom rom running off honecomb. I'd get one if I didn't just get an iPad, of course, I didn't pay full price for it either. /shrug

Darn. I'm too late. As I post this the ipads at sellout.woot.com are sold out. They were $330.
