I just got an order in from Performance-PCs. Mainly it was to get ATX pin connectors to re-pin my new HX1000, but I was running low on cable sleeving, so I picked some of that up too. I was expecting just some tighter-weaved expanding mesh sleeving, like some other nicer sleeving I got a while ago from somewhere (can't remember where...Sidewinder maybe?). ..boy was I in for a surprise! :D

I pulled it out and it seemed oddly heavy.... Hmm, ok, that's a little odd, but ok. ..wait a minute. ...it's...soft?? :?

Turns out it's actually a very dense, thick, soft nylon cloth weave. I doesn't expand much, but wow does it look nice! :D

I was a bit worried that it wouldn't be big enough, since it doesn't really expand much, so I cut off a few inches and tried it out with the wires for the ATX connector. It fits in the 0.5" size sleeving with lust a tiny bit of space to spare. ..and have I mentioned it looks awesome? :D I almost feel bad putting heatshrink on it.. Here's a shot comparing it to the stock.

It's their "Deluxe High Density Nylon Weave Sleeving", and it's actually pretty nicely priced too.

That is really nice stuff. Looks like it was so dense you had trouble biting through it? lol
Throw up some pics when it's done too!:)

Well, the really frayed end (end closest to my hand) was the end of the 10', so it frayed in shipping. The other end got a little frayed because some of the pins caught on the fabric as I was pushing them through....and I just had an awesome idea! For the final run, I can just cut a long tube of heatshrink just a tiny bit smaller dia than the sleeving's ID. Then, first push the heatshrink through, then push the wires through the heatshrink. No fibers for the pins to catch on, everything goes through smooth and easy. :D
