I finally took the plunge and purchased tapatalk and found that the best modding forum on the webz isn't on it

Well, until 2 minutes ago, I had never heard of it. We will check into it a bit. I always get a bit leery having to add foreign code to the forums, but if everything checks out, we might just give it a shot.

How many of you out there are accessing TBCS from a mobile device on a regular basis?

I do almost on a daily basis and as my job may call for it in the future I would be accessing it religiously from a mobile device and depending on content it has on occasion lagged out my phone.

Also on a side note can you at least confirm that you have received pms from both I and Dr. Walrus

Replied, sorry about that.

I use my HTC Desire to access the forums most days, but just use the standard HTML page without any real issues...

Incredible here and the only bog down seems to be with pms for some reason.

So do you guys get to turn off the annoying "Sent using tapatalk" message or are you forced to advertise for them for free?

Snowman

I can turn it off but I choose not to as I see it more as spreading the knowledge, and no I don't get a kickback from them.

Another forum that I'm on has it, and there's a few members using it regularly. I don't access forums from mobile devices, though.

Then I think I will jump on the bandwagon and advertise for my computer...

Sent using a Logitech Wave Wireless keyboard and mouse connected to a Dell Optiplex 755 running windows XP SP3.

LOL!

LOL!

  He admitted to owning a dell!!!! OOO MMMM GGGGG :P

As for the ad thing - in a paid-for app I think it's unacceptable - if it was free, that'd be different. I thoroughly upset a local auto dealer last year when I told him the deal was off if he didn't have every mention of the dealership removed from the car. He said it was standard terms for them to be there, and I replied, "Then I want a monthly fee for advertising" - in the end I got an un-ad-plastered car heh

I hate those tapatalk additions, I don't browse TBCS really with my phone, and if I were to, I'd more likely RDP home to do it.

Sent using stubby prodding things, prodding a Logitech G15v1 Keyboard, connected via USB to a custom build quad core computer featuring a ASUS motherboard with a rubbish BIOS, connected to an ADSL modem via a gigabit network, via the biggest telecom company in Australia, out via an international link to the TBCS server.

HEHE!

Actually I am at work, so work owns this Dell (but they bought me an Asus laptop for the road!)

I did the same thing when I bought both of my Subaru's. The last one they snuck the license plate advert in and I tore it out and handed it to the sales manager.

I don't have the interwebz at home so RD connection is out of the question, and I wish somebody would have told me about tap a talk a lot sooner than I found it so I leave it on there. There is a car lot in town here that part of the contract is they drill two holes in your front bumper for a vanity plate for their business... that would definitely be unacceptable but since they do the financing technically they still hold the title to the car.

I'm on from my iPhone daily, but don't use tapatalk. Safari's good enough for me.

i agree with sgtm.... i have tapatalk.... ive tried it as a "demo"... and find its a waste of valuable space...i thought it would enhance the forums i was currently searching.... not ask me to leave the browser and use a stupid app... it will be deleted when i have the time..

I do this with every vehicle I buy, unless the dealer is willing to knock another 3k off the price. Surprisingly, I've yet to have a dealer take me up on this.

Actually.. shortly after my post, I installed the tapatalk plugin for theairbrushforum. I bit the bullet and spent the $4.00 on the app. It's actually not bad, and forum installation is a breeze.

See... we should have this. I bet it will bring more people.

Just having a new way of posting (If I want to post, I already have a way of doing it, with a browser) won't bring new people. Good content brings more people.
