Just looking for an OCable 478 board.
Headed over to the 'Egg.

Looking at the reviews for a particular board, I come across this:

Pros: absolutely none

Cons: 1st board was D.O.A.
Replacement board was D.O.A.

sent both back

Other Thoughts: This is the 4th time I have tried to give a bad review of this board and it has been deleted each time

Manufacturer Response:
Sorry to hear of your troubles, it's extremely rare to get DOA twice, recommend that you contact our technically support staff to assist you. 626-581-1055 menu select 2, or email support@biostar-usa.com

Cool, Farlo.

The biggest thing I was getting at was the manufacturer's response.

Haha! That's great! At least they are honest.

Spent a few years doing escalated warranty support - the truth is, when you're dealing with hundreds of thousands of customers, multiple DOAs or multiple failures/replacements aren't just possible, they're inevitable.

On Biostar's response:
++ They opted to contact a customer - they've been checking the internet and being proactive. That's great.
-- They can't spell, response was generic, doesn't look like there'd be quality follow-up.

In truth, one of the best reasons for buying a branded product is good quality warranty support

Well, I mean, technically...

My old Biostar (M7VIG-400, socket A KM266 Pro) was good for what it was. Stood up to abuse, wasn't that OCable, though of course that didn't stop me from trying.
