That sucks - I stopped using Seagate in favour of Samsung after a couple of issues and warranty problems - now where do I go????

Well heh - I abandoned Hitachi (then IBM) over appalling customer service relating to a pair of 60GB IDE drives which had been replaced over and over - I asked for ANY other drive - even smaller, or I'd pay for larger, because the 60's were KNOWN for failing and I knew that the replacements they were sending WOULD fail 100% within a year and they just kept sending the 60's (and they kept failing) - THAT's when I moved to Seagate heh - my only question is who's really MAKING the drives in the WD/Hitachi camp?

last i herd wd and Hitachi actually used seagate drives in alot of their own products.such as external hard drives and WD's dvr setup.
