I need to have something resistant to water and i have no idea what to use, like a coat etc. I tried using Pva but found out it was acctualy water based.. so have you guys got any suggestions as to waht i should use??

What is it you are trying to coat? I am not sure what Pva is or what you mean by something resistant to water, do you mean a clear coat finish?

PVA is a water based glue, kids use it a lot (no offence).

PVA or Polyvinyl acetate is actually a wood glue but it is cheap so it is used in a lot of schools just for general purpose.

Are you looking for a sealer? Silicone would be the obvious choice. If you're looking for a more spreadable substance, you could try some roofing tar. It really depends on your application.
