Im using alot of plastic, cutting out all the individual armor pieces is time consuming. I glue it all together with heavy duty epoxy and then the good ole Bondo to finish it up.. More pictures when i get more done.8)

hmmm, another halo related mod happening in unison with mine.

hopefully you've seen mine, or at least what ive got at the moment... its at a standstill because i built myself into a corner... i need a donor case.

perhaps you and i could kind of feed off each others ideas to get some sort of continuity happening. that would be cool. just a thought though, because we are doing vastly different things.

i would assume you're taking artistic liberty and not focussing 100% on being accurate to the reference pictures. its an interesting take. kind of like how you remember it; a bit fuzzy on the details, but the general shapes and positions stick out.

gold elite eh? i think that should work. seems to me those are the second best, and they're a real bugger to kill. im pretty sure they're the ones with the swords too, so i think its accurate in that respect.

im curious now. how are you going to paint the sword to get that awesome glow? actually, whats the plan for all the painting? any special ideas to make things look good? just my opinion, but id definitely do some shadowing and maybe even simulate some directional lighting.

im keeping my eye on this one.

nice tank.

for the sword u should cut it out and maybe put some blue cathodes behind it. that would be sweet.

How the heck did I manage to miss this mod? This is my first time seeing it, and i have to say I'm really impressed! Nice work on the side panels! Do you have any shots of the steps yout ook to get to that point? It's a really interesting way to get a feaux bas relief effect, and it works really well for what you've got going there.

Either way, very impressive.

Thats a great idea for the sword, i wish i would have thought of that. Unforuntately i dont have a worklog of my mod here. I have a problem with taking pictures while im working, i get so involved in the project i forget to take them. I will try and get more pictures when i pick this back up. I am moving today so it may be a month until i get back to it.
What i did was i took old side panels from other cases i would get from the cpu stores that they were just tossing out, then i would just cut all the stuff out of them with my dremel and started stacking the pieces and glueing with epoxy. I then would finish it off with bondo to make it look somewhat right, then i hope the paint makes it all come together and look good. I will try and get more pictures of this mod when i start the top and front. Thanks guys:)
