So we got a message today from the people at facebook informing us that we are no longer allowed to continue to use our facebook page as it stands. Basically, we've been using a personal page which facebook has informed us (understandably albeit annoyingly) is not suitable for non-individuals. To keep facebook happy, and maintain our presence there, we've created an all-new official TBCS Facebook page.

New Official TBCS Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/TheBestCaseScenariocom/144072398999501)

If you're one of the many people who have added our old page as a friend, then pop on over and click the like button to keep yourself updated with all of the TBCS news and review information....

Of course, if you're reading this, you'll probably keep up to date just fine by checking the site, but it won't hurt and our other page will not be getting updated any longer.

Man what a mess this was. So we go from over 400 followers to under 20 in less than an hour.... :(

Did you ask the facebook folks if we can transfer our friends since they are forcing us to change the venue?

It doesn't work that way unfortunately. Before we had "friends" meaning people came to our page and added us as a friend or we went to theirs and did the same thing. Now we can not add friends, and people have to "like" our fan page. There is also no way for us to contact facebook. The notification from them came in the form of a blocked account with a paragraph explaining why they deactivated our account. There was no dispute, contact, or email link anywhere. Just a short message basically saying "Your account name is not recognized as a real name. Please change it to a real persons name or your account will be permanently deleted. If you are a company, organization, etc. please create a facebook page or face account deletion." It's ok. We will gain "likes" pretty fast once people realize what is going on.

There's a Facebook page for that.

Well I may have found an (extremely awkward and time consuming) way to make sure everyone on our old friends list is aware of our new page.

FB allows messages to groups of friends so we can send everyone a message. The catch (there's always one) is that you can only message 20 people at a time, and a list with 20 members counts as all 20 - so we'll have to go thru and create about 25 lists of 20 people to get all of the friends notified, then send out 25 messages, one to each list...

This is gonna be fun heh...
