The only way it has been edited is by cropping; otherwise, it was a minor oopsie...

Ask Slaveofconvention about his laptops battery life...

You should tell us if its believable and let the battery drain.

Considering how accurate those battery life indicators are and that you can get off-the-shelf netbooks with 14+ hour battery life (http://www.amazon.com/Seashell-1005PE-PU17-BK-10-1-Inch-Netbook-Battery/dp/B00322PYZO) I don't really see what there is not to believe? Unless I'm missing something?

A modern ULV processor with low power components and a 9k mAh battery should be able to hit 18 hours on the battery monitor if all you wanted to do was show your friends how long your laptop could sit idle for.

It's a Socket M laptop with a 9-cell battery.

I SHOULD be getting 3.5 hours MAX out of it.

It's just strange the time wigs out like that.

What about the dualOS FF setup???

Well, it depends what you were doing at the time. I've often found my laptop coming out of standby thinking it has 15-20 hours of run-time left. Of course, then it realized that it's actually using power and adjusts to something more reasonable.

My netbook, with an extended battery gets a realistic 6-7 hours and regularly claims to have 7 or 8 left at about 60% so I can see where the figures are coming from :)
