The real question is if they actually changed any of their security measures. Given that it was only down for about a month I'm gonna say probably not too many big changes, so...yeah, I'll take a week. :P Hopefully they at least fixed the holes that let the attacker(s) in before. Of course, just the fact that there was at least one major breach means that whoever did the previous attack has knowledge on at least some of the internal trust relationships on Sony's network...hmmm. Yeah, I'd say if it's going down again it'll probably be down within the week.

ffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu it's under Maintenance again
Hahahaha, wow, that didn't take long... :P Reminds me of when the AACSLA released a revamped version of AACS and said it would last at least 2 years before it was broken....and less than 2 weeks later it was thoroughly cracked.

Hehehe:
Retailers are starting to report increased trade-ins of PlayStation 3 consoles for Microsoft's Xbox 360s as gamers run out of patience with Sony's online outage
Steam for 360 coming soon????????

Makes sense. The PSN being down meant nobody could play any new games, right? If I can't install a new game and Sony has no idea when I'll be able to again, that removes a lot of the incentive to keep the system around.

On an episode of This Week in Tech last week, they reported that the average gamestop was getting between 15 and 30 PS3 Trade-ins per day. They said that almost every trade was used to purchase a 360 and games.
I have not been a PlayStation fan since the PS2 was released. I got one the week they dropped and had problems with it from the moment I put the first disc in the tray. Sometimes the tray would stop closing half way, or the laser would overheat half way through a gaming session and lock the game up. I bought an original Xbox and never looked back. The DVD drive did go out once, but I fixed it for $20 on ebay. Then I got into PC gaming and have not touched a console since.
