pop open the front with a paperclip, then look inside. you might see two wheels with a rubber band. if the band came off, try to put it back on with a paperclip.

that's all i can think of =/

I dont think this is the problem because even the light isnt "ON" light in the cdroom

I'd take the front off and look inside for any sort of safeguard that might be in place. At the very least, if you can take a photo of what it looks like with the front off then we can probably help you out. You may have damaged something in the drive, but without a photo or a really, really, accurate description we're all as confused as you are. Hope it's not broken man, it's a bummer when the happens-but hey, why not use it as an excuse to get litescribe? Then you can bust that in a year and get a blu-ray or HD burner! Whoop!

Anyway, know you probably want this fixed, so post back with more info.

Litescribe's a recent technology where you can burn your data to the disk then you can burn a nice picture onto the disk as well. You can get some really neat proffesional looking disks with a litescribe drive. It's a bit expensive for media, and it's obviously only monochrome, but the technology's pretty cool and a new litescribe drive is only £40 (about $60?).

No more messing with stickers or marker pens, eh?

I'd go for the Liteon, they usually last the longest. Here's a link to one (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=296954), the price has bombed down to £30 at the mo-don't know where you'd get one in the US if that's where you are? Good luck!
