Occasionally, my Internet connection slows down. Reasonable, considering time of day.
However, it slowed WAY down.
Google took a minute to load!

One unknown side effect 'til now:
192.168.1.1 took 2 MINUTES to load! (my wireless router's IP). It, like Google, only takes a tenth of a second to load COMPLETELY!

Router is WGR614 v6. ISP is DigitalBridge Communications.

That would point to something on your home network it would seem. Can't be an IP conflict as that would stop traffic completely and usually pops an error message. Do you have a dns set like google dns? Might be a dns resolution problem, if you aren't using open dns you might give it a try the addresses are 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4

Yes, that's even WITH Google's 8.8s.

I'm thinking the router is simply wearing out.

I suspect that - after four years - the OP has either figured out a fix for his internet lag or has just learned to live with it.

But, uh, welcome to TBCS, lol
