I'm no good with joining 2 pieces of mater together so I'm asking for more help.

I thought of 2 options to use. Here are my small models of my ideas.

Option 1
End to end. IDK if it has a joint name or not. Homemade L brackets to support.

Option 2
Miter joints for the top and bottom (or sides) and a straight piece for the other supports. Homemade L brackets to support.

Would one of these options work? Or should I do something else? It needs to be pretty sturdy with all the weight.

Cheers.

I'd say either of those would work as long as the L brackets are attached firmly.

What kind of material is it?
I'd recommend welding if it's metal. If welding isn't an option I'd go with the method in the last picture.

1/8" think Aluminum. The L brackets are 3/16" thick Aluminum. I can't weld because I don't have the tools. And a welder is just too much money for 1 mod.

/\ What he said. Drill through the L-brackets and tap the holes in the posts. That should give you a good connection.

OK, and I can understand that you don't wan't to hire a welder. As x88x said, the brackets should be fine. But if you ever have the chance to learn how to weld take it. It's a lot of fun :)

You obviously have the knack for proper mechanical fit, Fuganater ... a talent that some of the welders at my work have never mastered.

An alternative to welding is brazing ... think of it as high-temperature soldering. Any old torch or even a manly soldering gun will work well enough for small jobs. Although I'm not at all certain whether aluminum metals can be brazed like copper-alloys and soft metals.

Another alternative is chemical adhesive. Do not underestimate the power of Loctite. Then again, do not depend on adhesives for load- or stress-bearing applications. If you do choose a bonding agent then cleaning/degreasing and perhaps some surface abrasion will go a long way.

I ordered some JBweld.... was going to see if that worked well or not.

JB Weld is awesome stuff. It will withstand some weight too... but it will break. Guess it depends on what you are planning on doing with the case :)

It will mainly be for the corrners. To make sure they are sturdy.

What I'm going to do with it? Its going to sit there and be a server.

Well then it will probably do what you need. :) Just don't think about making a sex swing out of the stuff. :P
