Hi all, new here and to modding.

Been building Pcs my whole life, never bought one. However, never really went all out. Added after market fans lighting, cool cases, but never went the extreme. So, here we go!

This is my new case. It is the Dragonslayer by InWin. I am running an ocz agility 6gbs SSD, 8Gs of 1600 kingston Hyperx ram, a 630w pws from raidmax, was going to use my bfg tech, but i wanted something with lights this time. Two HSI 6950's (2gb edition, pre OC'D). Currently have a Corsair H60 liquid cooling on the processor. I was going to send it back, but my puppy made the hard decision to keep it for me by chewing the whole box and instructions to pieces. (Literally 1cm x 1cm pieces. :? )

I will be using the 150mm multi option resivoir from EK WB and the EK HF Supreme Block its self. I have some red and orange uv reactive dye for the water and will be using that. Cooling will be mostly done by a 35w (if im not mistaken) TEC.

I am trying to make this case Dragon esqe. I want to do a Black and orangeish color.. thus the Copper Brown From MDPC will be what i am using. All the fans will be that color etc.

Lets get to the goods. :)

and a lil' brat to have around when you are close the ground sweating and twisting small wires... licks in the face and paws on your hands when you are already having a hard time getting something to come together doesn't help... let me tell you.

So, update. My Sheath is on the way, my Dye just reched me in the mail and my Other 4gigs of ram are on their way should be here tomorrow. Soooo excited. OC'd the comp, just stock H2O Cooling, today at almost 80degrees out side and at 3.8 it was running only 4c hottter... mmmm mmm

Can't wait.

Plays LoL like a deam... haha

a word of advice i wouldn't use the color for the water as it stains and clogs things. everyone uses straight distilled water. I would go with color tubing its about the same as the clear stuff and looks cleaner and wont fade.

Mkay, i have read that, but i wasn't sure how much damage it would do. I am looking for an orange or redish tubing then... where would you reccomend i go? Ebay, frozen cpu?

i got my tubing from there. it is the cheapest place i have found. i use the 1/2id 3/8od uv green primochill have used it for a little over a year now work well. is this your first liquid cooling system?

Yes, first LC system and MainMan appreciate the offer. Anywhoo here is an update on what i have done so far. First time sleeving so here is what i have so far. Trying to figure out if i am supposed to do both sleeves (wrapped) at the same time or do you shrink wrap each one individually on a Y?

Anywhoo, playing around with some different techniques. Gotten quite a bit faster, but still takes me like 15+ mins a cable to shleeve. I think that is due to the screwed up situation with my cables. See below.

http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/2007/dsc0157pk.jpg

its all funky cause it has little connectors to the PSU for "easy" connecting... makes my life hell for sleeving though. guh.

here is some of my sleeving work so far. first try, so its not the best, but its on a piece i'm not using haha. As you can see i'm playing with both each wire and double wrapped Y's.

Just ordered some more sleeving so i can do black and orange/"copper brown". Anywhoo came up with some more ideas. I went to the local train hobby store as reccomended to look into some "weathering" techniques. I loved it! Some of them look amazing, but i just need to figure out how to fit it all into my system. I have a couple more ideas as well.

Idea No. 1 - I want to use a all metal tubing LC system instead of normal style and do a rusted look to the pipes and make them look like the innards of a warehouse/ Post apocalyptic hide out like for air ducts.

Idea No. 2 I want to run a 220 mm fan at like 100 RPM with some rust or something on it to give the case side a old warehouse fan look...

Funny enough, couldn't find any good pictures, i just used a clip of one from a funny old simpsons episode. http://youtu.be/icIwKaci3MI?t=35s

Fan in the background.

Anywhoo more ideas to come, let me know what you think.

Here is how i did the lettering and kept it clean, but got in between those tiny little cracks!

First take some Masking tape and mask off all the easy to do areas using your xacto to get close to the edges and making clean cuts.

Then take some Newskin and paint it with a little hobby brush on the letters. Then, Paint away.

http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/5283/letteringz.jpg

Next, use your nail polish remover with a Qtip or something similar and Brush away the paint. The Newskin should come off too and will have filled in the cracks with a nice clean layer so the paint didn't get in there.

Viola! you have it. :) you can probably use clear nail polish, but i had some Newskin on hand.

Well folks, that's all i have for now. I will keep you all updated.
