Google for that if you're not sure about its meaning. ;)
So, I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we can post our mistakes/experiences...
I'll start:
When painting drive fronts, and they're on a sheet of cardboard on a stool, whilst it's always a good idea to have ventilation when painting, ensure that the ventilation isn't so good that a gust of wind will pick up the cardboard, thus depositing the newly-painted items on the floor.

Hahaha, good one. :)
When using a Dremel for long periods of time and you have diabetic neuropathy, do stop every so often to make sure the Dremel hasn't overheated to the point where you have 2nd degree burns all over your hands. :)

P.S. I know too. :)

When putting an automotive grade paintjob costing 70 dollars or more and spending over 10 hours of work on your computer monitor, let the damned thing dry before trying to put it back on your computer screen!!

When working with metal and dremels, always make sure your saftey equipment is certified.
(i used skiiing goggles for eyewear, a shirt ofr a respirator, and my sweatshirt sleeves for gloves.)

Remember, food, sleep and bathroom breaks aren't just a good idea, they're necessary evils.

When cutting plastic you might be wearing a respirator and goggles. Well, you should be. When wearing both, your goggles may steam up; so in that moment when you lift them onto your head to inspect your work, remember to put them back on again, or like me, you'll be crying melted plastic for 2 hours.

When you have clamped something to a bench to cut it in half (http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/chrispollard/386/cutdrive.jpg), and decide it would be nice to photograph it before and after for the benefit of forum members, don't place the camera on top of a mid tower case on the same bench.
Mine had a soft landing, from about 4 feet. Doesn't bear thinking about what my D70 would be like had it landed face first on the concrete floor.

When cutting PVC pipe with a dremel, wear a resperator and goggles or you'll be coughing up PVC dust for over a week and it'll get into every bodily oriface it can find.

Roger that!
EDIT TO YOUR POST: When cutting ANY type of plastic with ANY tool for a long period of time, atleast wear a dust mask and goggles or else you'll feel like an 80 year old man who's been smoking his whole life for about a week.

You mean I shouldn't feel like that normally? Damn, maybe I should stop smoking 3 packs a day then. :)
Yes, very true, you should wear a resperator when you're working with ANYTHING that throws particles into the air, be it plastics, wood, paint, strippers and thinners, stains, etc etc... If it smells, smokes, atomizes, powders or flakes, protect against it.

If you stop smoking you might lose the Marlon Brando voice. You just wouldn't be the Modfather without it! ;)
No, seriously you probably should try and quit, smoking just got banned in all public places in Scotland and it's one of the best things that's ever happened here. Now i can go out on a Friday night.

Naah, it's a misquote from Python. He means to say "I fart in your general direction, you stupid English ker-nigget!"
(well, you don't expect a yank to know the difference between english and Scottish, do you?) D&R

When you have searched high and low for acrylic, and almost given up, try the house at the end of the street, 200 yds away. Chances are there's a workshop there which uses it.

I'm in Bridesburg, where all the goombas live. Ok Ok, actually it's where all the pollacks live but it's close, concrete gloves are just as useful as concrete loafers and so what if they say "sleep with the birds". :)
And yes, I was paraphrasing Python there.
