I have had this idea in my head for like a year! but i cant seem to get my brother in law to let me do it. ok here it is, for all of you who have an old black dell case sitting around... take off the big grey dell circle on the side, make a mold from it, and then make the peice mold from that with clear fiberglass (or if your rich then i guess you could just get the dell circle vaccuformed or something) then get one of those lightning circles from a novelty store. paste the lightning circle to the back of the fiberglass molded peice, connect to power and put in case. voila! an electric dell!!!

That's actually been done, several times, though not with a Dell case like that. My pop has a Dell with that case, maybe that'd be a cool idea but the problem is getting one of those things that are the exact size of the Dell logo dome thingy. I don't think they'd be quite that size, the one I have is quite a bit larger plus they also have a large clear glass border around the lighted area. Probably your best bet would be to mount it from behind. Only trouble there is, the back sides of those things have a huge box which contains some serious RF disturbing electronics and I wouldn't recommend putting it near the guts of a PC. I think the ones I've seen had custom made lighted things in 'em.

you could just stick a sheet of plexiglass in the oven, and then when it heats up enough, just lay it over the dell circle, and then press it down real nice, and when it cools, cut out the circle, and there ya go
