View Full Version : maximum giggerage HDD space anyone?

hey guys just a quick Q, does anyone know how much my motherboard will support in terms of HDD space, like i know older mobos wont detect certain amounts of HDD space like 400 gigs for an old NF2 or something, i have a DFI NF4 SLI- DR wondering max limit if anyone knows, oh yah i made some sketches of my case and setup, here check it out lemme know what u think..

Not 100% abot the design, but everyone has different tastes, and it's what you like that matters at the end of the day.

Not sure about the HDD problem; in fact, i don't think it's ever come up for me, so it's probably not something you should worry about, unless you're planning to shove more than a couple of Terrabytes in there.

The way i see it, you're not expected to get more than 2 Terrabites into a standard tower, so that's probably where trouble starts to happen.

ah, well im talking about umm..talking about 1000 gigs of storage required.. prolly like 2 WD' 500 sata's or something like that, its for s media server

One of the old CMG members has 26 500GB hard drives, all RAIDed up for a total of 13TB.
