I was going to say.. we still call them celery's. I don't think I have typed or spoken the word celeron for the last 10 years.. well until just now.. LOL

Do a google search for Inel Celery and you will find pages and pages of the same reference.

Haha, yup. I always call them celery's too. Old ones were almost universally...welll...sh*t, but they're actually pretty decent nowadays. I've been running my server on an E1500 for quite a while now, and I'm very pleased with it. Basically just a C2D E4500 with 1/4 the L2 cache.

The only one I've ever owned was the computer I built for Diablo 2 in 2000, aged 13, to go with 256mb of RAM and a 32MB TNT2 Ultra. Needless to say, it was very quickly replaced with a 1Ghz T-Bird, which despite needing a cooler with two stacked fans, was an incredible processor.

Amusingly, I remember the Pentium 133 my brother and I shared in '96 when the original Diablo came out, and we made the difficult decision to upgrade to Windows 95, aged 8 and 9...

He became a vet, I became a programmer. I should have known that would happen when we were kids, he kept hold of his (matching) Celeron 566 for years, until I sold him my P4 in 2005, and he was still using it until a few months ago.

I've still got the box and everything for my copy of Diablo.

Used to play diablo at work when i worked the night shift since i could play it right off the CD-rom.

The original is an absolute CLASSIC that sadly got overshadowed by Diablo 2.

I'm pretty sure an OC record goes to a Celeron @ 8.2GHz
