Will anyone post a tutorial, or link me to one, that shows you how to take apart a mouse, and paint it parts of it ? Specifically, the MX310.

Modding a mouse aint really hard... as long as you know what to do, and how to do it...
If you want to paint your mouse, you don't even need to take it apart, what was masking tape made for? Or is used primarily these times? :)
As long as you don't spray paint in the electronics of the mouse, and don't paint your optical eye and LED, you're okay. As for the kind of paint, I dont know, I never painted anything...
I doubt there is a way you can mod your mouse, unless you wanna change your LED color, there really aint much to do with a mouse...
USe masking tape to cover the parts of your mouse that you won'T paint, mask all possible holes and screws so the insode of the mouse and other things ownt get painted, and paint it. You can make different layers of paint by using masking tape... so basically, mask, paint, dry, mask, paint, dry, etc.
Hope I have helped. :)

I hadn't seen that mouse when I did that, I did however see that joke pic of a mouse skeleton, that's what gave me the idea for that.

you really need to disasemble your mouse if you are wanting to paint it. from xbox modding i should know. for the best results disasamble it.

the screws are under the feet pads and somtimes under the label. Take it apart and paint. Simple!
You could also try to add a fan for cooling. No one likes sweaty palms.

well I have an old MS mouse I thought I could mod it into a compact. It wouldn't function as a computer mouse but it would be a cool conversation starter at her office.

If you want to have it so it's a working mouse, I recommend making a new shell and using an optical mouse.
