Well, I guess ill start the worklog for the mod that I have been working on for the past couple of weeks.. (I know there isnt a lot of work on it, but Im busy, So I dont have much time to spend on it.) Well, the theme of my mod is to make it look like a modded car, like a civic/integra/whatever else... Here are some concept pictures of my mod:

Heres the original case:

And heres the work I have done so far:

EDIT: Just forgot to mention that this is my first mod, I haven't really had a chance to mod my computer except for giving my old one a paint job and painting my cd-rom drives..

Yeah, It does look a bit awkward now that I look at it.... But who knows, maybe ill make one thats molded with the rest of the case, make it look like its part of it, not like its bolted on..

aww sick dude ive thought of that, but dint know how to make the "front bumper" on the csae.....good luck ill be wathcing this 1!...(a big fan of cars, know alot about them at a yougn age)..i dont really see anything with the wing...just dont make it oversized. and if u want somthing that flows a lil better do something liek whats on the Raidmax RX-9 (my case).

Ranger, the pics you posted are not available anymore.. T_T

Nice project tho, but if there is something that would be nice, DONT MOD IT LIKE A ****ING CIVIC! There is enough of this junk here in Quebec, sorry if I hurt you, or anybody here, but when you say the MOST POPULAR CAR in Quebec is the Civic... damn.

But well, a car-case mod can'T be developed on a specific car, since there are logically unlimited customization possible. Hope you enjoy this project!

Dont wanna break in the worklog, but how you made your vents? Im planning to make some for my front panel for some better airflow, but I dont wanna buy one of these cheapo plastic kits that you stick on Geo Metro's.... ^_^;

Nice job tho! Im really intrigued of the result. Continue on the hard work!

u shoudl put mesh on the venst and put a fan there....not the best airflow but i just liek hiding things. =]

Actually thats exactly what I was going to do =P... I have the mesh sitting in my room, I just have to prep everything before I put it in. But, I dont think Im going to put a fan in there, I modified the box itself so that I can fit two 80mm fans in the front,(Below the intake vents) so I think that will provide pretty good air flow..

you could put some uv leds under the mesh and paint the iner part of the vent in uv reactive paint

Well, I was thinking of just putting LEDs behind the mesh... But that sound like a pretty cool idea...

Well, The vents were somewhat of a pain...at least the gluing part was really a bitch, I dont know if the way I made them is any better than the plastic kits available but heres how I did it:

Here is my basic layout of the design:

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g225/dgurion/vent.jpg

Well, that basically explains how I did it, then I just cut a hole in my case that was the same size, and then glued it to the case.. (I use JB Cold Weld for all my glueing needs, rated for over 3000psi =D )

Here are some pictures after some priming... I did something stupid though... on some of the bondo work I forgot to sand it before applying the bondo, so it just started coming off :mad: .. So i had to cut around the edges and apply some glue..
