TBCS Stickers?

Just wondering if the TBCS logo has been recently rendered into a sticker form? I have plans for a project that after a suggestion from jdbnsn, I think should have a TBCS sticker with it? I was wondering if they have been made up and if there are rules regarding usage?

We haven't made up any stickers. It was discussed a while back, but we haven't really found a cost effective outlet that produces a quality product. I don't see a problem with you making a few for a project. The only issue would be if you decided to print up a bunch and sell them for profit. Otherwise we would be honored to have the logo displayed on a mod.. just make sure its a good one!! :P

They would be going on tech benches that I am hoping to make and offer to the forum. I looked into the cost of making one for myself and realized I would need to make 12 to justify the cost. Since I need one and have a couple of friends who are interested I would be offering up the others on the forum. The price would be just enough to cover the costs as making them would be enough to make me happy. Would that still be okay?

you know if you cut photo paper out in the shape of a sticker then use clear packing tape over the print off and razor it out.

Whereas I really like the idea, I would have to say it's not ok. :(

My reasoning is since you would be putting them on an item your selling it could be construed as a "TBCS" branded product. And since its not produced by TBCS or sold by TBCS, it would infringe.

How about if he donated/lent one to one of our journalists for a review. Then it'd be, not 'TBCS branded', but, 'TBCS approved' (assuming a favorable review).

At that point, I would rather include instructions on how to make your own sticker to mod the bench you received:D. More along the lines of what this site is about.

I think the contention is not them being on an item in general, but them being on an item 'out of the factory', as it were. One is an end user showing their support for us, the other is our logo on a 'new' product, where the customer may or may not have any prior knowledge of us. I can see how that could be seen as an unwitting endorsement or notification of origin.

EDIT:
Maybe, along the lines of what I recommended earlier, we could make up a sort of 'TBCS approved' logo, kinda along the same lines as the Nintendo Seal of Quality. Just a thought.
