Saw this pop up in my inbox today...apparently HDD prices have dropped a lot since I last bothered to check, but this is still a pretty good deal.

I prefer internal HDD over external ones.
I know its nice to have external and portable hard discs but don't know why, it always seems unsafe.

They are unsafe...especially the cheaper ones. I've seen small bumps do damage.
Get a 2.5" drive with an accelerometer and a 2.5" enclosure.

Or, if you can shell out the money, a SSD.

Flash drives are 2nd-best, IMO.

you can always remove the drive from the enclosure and use it as an internal drive.
