My old gps died, anything I can do with the module?

My old gps died and before killing it in a hail of lead I salvaged the gps unit. Anything I can do with it or are a lot of them proprietary?

Nah it was already cooked and the software was out of date and there was no support for it. Would have put somebody in a cornfield at high speed or soemthing.
