I'm having a hard time finding 8GB DDR3 DIMMS. 99% of the ones I've found are ECC RAM for servers. Newegg has one bundle for $400:eek:, but that's nutters.

Anyone know of where to get them?

One thing I would look into is if any consumer grade motherboards support 8GB modules. I am assuming that since you are looking for a 8X2 setup that the motherboard you are using only has 2 slots, so you might want to make sure that the board will support more then 8GB of RAM.

I am checking our costs now...

A motherboard model would help though...

Z68 motherboards do 32GB of RAM. Four slots, 8GB each

now what are you going to do that consumes 16,000MB of space?

I already have 16GB in my Commodore. I just want my OCZ theme case to have even more!

What's in that case? If it's AMD, it'll use the ECC RAM. Otherwise, it's the 400 dollar set. It's still not easy to get that much on two sticks.
