So the harsh reality is that it cost a lot of money to not live with your parents. I know where I live is cheap but I work at a grocery store with uneven hours any where from 25 to 35 hours at 8.50 as a Customer Service Manager. Yesterday I went into a gym here where I live with my girlfriend to get a gym membership and asked if they were hiring, he said yes and I asked for what shift, he said for mornings and I said that sounds awesome, he then told me he would love it if I would put a application in. He told me to call back today after he talked to the owner, if he didnt call me by 3pm. So 3pm rolled around and I called him and he said that I had about a 30% chance of getting the job because the owner had some one else in mind, to say the least I was BUMMED. This is the nicest gym here in Eau Claire. Well at 5pm tonight I got a call from the manager telling me I got hired and that I start next week!!! Note: I PUT MY APPLICATION IN YESTERDAY AND GOT HIRED TODAY! Its only for about 20 hours but I am able to work at the grocery store 30 hours a week on top of that. I'm super happy!!
Thanks for listening to my good rant, I'm tired of being poor...

"What happened to that Korean boy who had a 100 jobs?" "He dead now" *later* "Hang on, if your old boyfriend is dead, that means there is 100 jobs opening, where's the newspaper?!"

Semi on topic: The only job I've had is a month long IT support contract, it was pretty good but they out-sourced it because I couldn't be full time :( This was back in 2007 and bought my current computer with it. I'm currently glad I don't have a job, pretty much my uni work is a full time job as it is! But at least now I have an income from the government :D

few truer words have been spoken.

it's very difficult to get by on a job with now real set number of hours. makes it hard to budget well.

good luck with the new job.
