Very cool! I remember seeing a much simpler version of this as a project a little while back. If I remember right... it uses a combination of flashing light (strobe effect) and water control. Simply amazing at how well they can pull this off!

Heheh, awesome! :D Probably wouldn't be that terribly complicated to pull off either; just interface a bunch of servo-controlled valves with a lineprinter control, and 'voila', pretty picture fountain.

There are projects that use strobe effects on a single or multiple drops, but this one actually times each drop to get the desired effect.
