I got an idea for modding my box but I'm having trouble finding some parts and was hoping you guys would have an idea where I can find em.
I'm looking for honeycomb shaped grill cover for PC fans, and also looking where I can find a missile toggle switch for my computer power switch.
Now, the missile toggle I'm looking for is a bit different from the norm - I am looking for one that is a 3 way, that has a center 'off' position, with an upper and lower momentary contact.
Could this animal be possible, or am I looking for too much?
I was thinking it could be center 'off', with up being the power on, and then down could be the reset.
Thanks for any possible help!

Well, we got modders from America, the UK, Australia, the Philippines, pretty much every English speaking country and some non-English besides: tell us where you are in the world, and someone's sure to drop by and help.

For mesh http://www.mnpctech.com/moddersmesh.html hex and round holes.
For the switch I've seen on/off ones with covers (http://www.frozencpu.com/scan/se=Electronics/se=Switches/mp=menu_search.html)but not 2 way momentary.
I 'd buy the switch with the cover you want. then search through the electronic houses for the switch you want and move the cover to it.
Thta or make your own cover once you find the switch, doesn't looko too hard.

Since you're looking for a center off, momentary on both directions (up for on, down for reset) both of these units are (on)-off-(on) DPDT (one SPST for each circuit)

For the switch itself try here (http://www.mouser.com/access/?pn=506-MTA206S). (Tyco Electronics Alcoswitch MTS Part # MTA206S) $8.37 US plus shipping. Keep in mind this is just the switch. You'll still need the cover (assuming you are looking for an aircraft style safety switch) A better option IMHO would be this switch (http://www.mouser.com/access/?pn=633-S28AW-RO), as NKK pretty much runs the standards for sizing on these units. The price is increased to just under $12 US. (NKK Part # S28AW-RO)
And of course, covers can be found in all different colors; Try Directron (http://www.directron.com/switches2.html) for some expensive, flashy ones. Also could Google "Military Switch" or "Military Cover" for some other options.

Damnit, I need some of that round mesh but like everywhere else, they're out of stock there too.

I resigned myself to buying covers for DIY speakers to get mesh - as far as I know it's next to impossible to get here in the UK without taking out a mortgage and putting up with seriously thick material - the speaker covers I get at www.maplin.co.uk do the job though, although it still isn't the cheapest option in the world....

Correct me if im wrong but dont the switch covers flip the switch to the off position when closed? If im right a 3-way switch wouldnt work unless off was the last position on the switch. on-on-off.

With a normal on-off-on switch and the cover closed it would be like holding your power or reset button down.

no switch covers are designed to prevent the switch from accidentaly being bumped and changed from its current possition, whether thats on or off.

Well I bought a missile toggle switch with led at Radio Shack ($5) and when you flip the switch cover into the downward position, it opens the circuit. (Turns the switch to off) so the cover is pretty much useless if you want to keep the switch in the on position. I was told the cover is there to keep you from accidentally turning the switch to the off position while it is active.
Im sure if you had a dremel you could cut the angled piece of plastic inside the cover out, but then you have to contend with the spring loaded internals that keep the cover closed which would just bind the thing up anyway.
