Hi there guys and gals,im fairly new to modding but i have an idea for a mod and was wondering what you guys think is the easiest way of this.ok i want to do a bf2 case with simply cutting out the number 2 on both sides of case and adding a piece of plexi behind them and using a red material and green material to the sheet of plexi for visual only,my real question is i can't afford laser or water cutting so i guess it's either dremel or jigsaw.which one would you guys reccomend for the cleanest cut seeing as i probably wont find a window molding flexible enough to go around the number 2.which tool would be best.Thank you.

Between a Dremel and a jigsaw, I would say the jigsaw unless you're pretty comfortable with the Dremel. The jigsaw will allow for a much slower, controlled cut, and will leave an edge that is easier to "doctor" if neccessary. I would use the Dremel for finishing the edge, if it is available.
On the other hand, using a Dremel with a stencil is almost foolproof, so if you're willing to cut a stencil out of thin hardboard or plywood and then use it and the Dremel to cut the case you could end up with the same product in less time.

if you do use dremal, you will need to do more finish work thought as far as filing and sanding the edges to make it smooth, but both will work.
