Fan question

I stoll havent began my modding, but Im gathering all the information I need before starting it...

So basically I am going to need 2x80mm fans, one with red LED for the front panel and the other I dont mind, as long as it blows air, since its going to be in the back. Recommendations?

And, since my comp tends to be in a dusty area, I would need some kind of filter. How could I build one? Id just need one for the front fan, since I dont want my CPU heatsink to be filled with dust, like it was 1 month ago.. ^_^;

Akasa Amber fans have been very popular recently. I have 6 of them here but still haven't tested any yet. Though they seem very high quality. Unfortunately they're orange.

I may as well find some coolermaster or some other fan brands, that will be red-lit...

As for the filters, any ideas on how to make them?

I've never bothered with filters to be honest, i know some people like em but i think they impede airflow too much.

if it's reducing the airflow that much, then Id better abandon this idea..

I wanted a filter cause right now the case is already dusty, and I cleaned it a month ago..

A filter wont impeed airflow as much as a dust cloged cooler. Find some filter material simmilar in appearance to a scotch brite pad but with larger gaps and holes. You really dont need much in the way to catch dust as you found out a month ago. Now find a piece of plexi or metal and cut out a simple grill and sandwich the filter material between the case and the grill.

Umm.. since Im going to use a LED-lit fan, Id like to lit the intakes of the front panel with it.. I think it'll interfere with it... maybe I will put it behind the fan, so I will have all the light I want, and it'll block the dust on its way in the case. but I will have to clean that fan more frequenly, for sure.

Ill see what Ill be going to do.. more to think, more to think.. school is ending in not even 1 month and an half, after this it's the summer, Ill be working thru this, so Ill have some money under the hand, altho I wont be able to spend much money on my comp.. I need everything for my car :)
