I am looking into a new PSU for my computer to replace my dinky case supplied one, and was wondering if this was any good

I am not to smart about PSU's and any help would be greatly appreciated

Don't take this the wrong way, but PSU is Power Supply Unit, and you're linking to a page of CPU coolers. Possible the wrong link or just a mix up?

Well, that's a pretty powerful PSU, but it's only 75% efficient. That means you're only using 3 quarters of all that electricity you'll be paying for. So here's 2 big questions:
1) How much do you use your computer (how long is it on for is better...)
2) What sort of system are you running? Dual graphics cards, overclocked CPU, etc.

If you let me know that, we can work out what's best for you. 75% isn't an alltogether bad efficiency, but you can get better; though it does cost a lot.

The 600W is a little bit of overkill unless you want to run 2*X1900XT's with an FX-60.

This power supply (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817163112)doesn't come with modular power supply cables, but it's over 80% efficient, and it's still rated at 560W. And it's a lot cheaper.

If you pay the bills, it'll pay for itself. If you don't, whoever does will thank you. After they get over the fact that your computer now wields the power of a small electric heater ;)

Yes, as long as you are only running one.

And modular cabling means that you plug your PSU cable into your PSU as well as the devices themselves. Any cables that you don't need or won't use, you simply unplug from the power supply. This eliminates a lot of cluster and can be very useful.
